Jan Roggen (Mol, 1978) specialises in environmental law (town and country planning included) and expropriation law. He assists private and public clients with all aspects of environment law and expropriation in the realization of infrastructure projects, development projects and other public and private industrial, commercial or residential projects.
In addition, he has extensive experience in environmental law, including European environmental law and in conducting proceedings before the Council of State, the Council for Permit Disputes and the civil courts.
Jan graduated with a Master of Laws (KULeuven, 2001). He also obtained an additional degree in human rights (Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis, 2005).
Before founding Adhemar Advocaten, Jan was a senior associate with Stibbe’s “Planning & Environment” department.
Stefanie Debeuf (Soest – Germany, 1978) specialises in real estate and construction law. She assists and advises domestic and foreign clients with the drafting and negotiation of contracts within the scope of real estate transactions and construction projects. If required, she also assists clients within the scope of legal proceedings with a variety of jurisdictional bodies. Stefanie has a particular experience in PPP projects.
Stefanie graduated with a Master of Laws (VUB, 2002) and also obtained the Diplôme d’études spécialisées en droit européen (ULB, 2003). From 2005 to 2010 Stefanie was a Legal Methodology assistant professor at the Free University of Brussels. Since 1st September 2015 she is the editorial secretary of the “Rechtskundig Weekblad”, one of Belgium’s oldest and most renowned legal journals.
Before joining Adhemar Advocaten, Stefanie was a senior associate of Stibbe and Lydian in Brussels. She is recommended by the Legal 500 in the area of real estate (2014 edition).
Joris De Pauw
Joris De Pauw (Rumst, 1980) specialises in environmental law (town and country planning) and property law. He assists public authorities, private companies and individuals with all aspects of project and area development (such as advice and procedures regarding spatial implementation plans, permits, and expropriations) and advises them with respect to diverse real estate contracts.
In addition he has a specific experience in environmental law, especially in the field of waste, environmental impact assessment, environmental permits, soil pollution and sustainable tendering.
He is a regular lecturer in these matters. Recently Joris has been lecturing at the Antwerp Management School and for the Vlaamse Vereniging voor Begeleiding & Bemiddeling inzake Complexe Investeringen.
Joris graduated with a Master of Laws (UGent, 2003). He also specialised with a Master’s degree in Environmental Law (UGent, 2004).
Before joining Adhemar Advocaten Joris was a senior associate at the “Real Estate, Environment and Regulatory” department of Lydian.
He is recommended by the Legal 500 (2014 edition) in the area of “Environment”.
